Annie Lee Brownlow Carter

Anne Brownlow, daughter of Bud and Lizzie Brownlow, was born in Bartow County, Georgia, on September 12, 1881. She was called Sister by her siblings. She married John Hicks Jefferson Carter in Bartow County, on December 28, 1907. They lived in the Belleview Community in Polk County, Georgia. They went to Belleview church but are both buried at Prospect Church Cemetery. She died September 17, 1963, and he died November 26, 1972. Uncle Hicks, as he was called, was a very likable person and he loved children. He was part Indian. They were the parents of: Lester Van Buren, Gladys Tellulah Estelle, Thelma Sarah Jane, Hattie Love, Virgil Oliver, Connie Mae, Willie Sue
