Isaac M. Brownlow

Isaac M. Brownlow was born April 20, 1827, in Franklin County, Georgia. He was the son of John A. and Susan Wimpy Brownlow. He moved with is family to Forsyth County, Georgia, in the 1840's. On January 11, 1852, he married Elizabeth Bishop. They were the parents of one son, William Brownlow who was born in about 1853. His wife died soon after and he remarried to Delilah Clementine Cruse on August 26, 1860, in Forsyth County. They were the parents of Cynthia, John H., Susan M. S., Isaac A. N., James A., and Martha E. Brownlow. In about 1869 Isaac moved his family to Hill County, Texas, where they were enumerated on the 1870 census. On this census his name was given as Isham. His name very well could have been Isaac Isham M. Brownlow as his brother, J. A. H., had three names. It was not long, however, before they returned to Forsyth County, Georgia, where on April 02, 1877, he married Caroline Elizabeth Huggins. They were the parents of only one child, Squire Obed Brownlow. They remained in Forsyth County through the 1880's but  sometime before 1900 Isaac moved to Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. He died on May 07, 1906.
